CBD works within the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which is considered the master regulatory system of the body. While at this time there is very limited research investigating a direct relationship between CBD and weight management, many of our members do find that CBD can be a helpful tool for sticking to their weight management plan!
CBD works alongside your ECS to amplify your body’s own balancing and healing properties. When our bodies fall out of balance, it can be difficult to stick with a weight management plan. Whether it be stress, discomfort, lack of energy, or anything else that keeps you from sticking to your plan, CBD may be able to help!
Stress makes it tough to find time for ourselves, and as a result, can make sticking to a weight management plan even more difficult. Many of our members do report a reduction in stress levels when taking orally ingested CBD, which in turn can often make sticking to a weight management plan a bit easier. Muscle aches and exercise-induced tension and swelling can also make it tough to stay active on a regular basis, so using CBD topically can be a great way to target stubborn discomfort and keep on moving!
Fun fact! CBD may also boost anandamide levels. Anandamide (nicknamed the "bliss molecule") is best known for inducing a "runner's high"— or a short-lasting, euphoric state that tends to follow intense exercise. As a result, many of our members find that taking CBD before exercising not only makes their workout more enjoyable but also addresses muscle aches and tension from the inside out!
